today people kept wishing me ‘happy first mother’s day’…then they’d stop and try to mentally calculate how long deacon has been around. i’d mention that actually last year was my first mother’s day and we celebrated in ethiopia! so technically, this is my first american mother’s day.
i’m milking it for all it’s worth and it has turned into mother’s day weekend!!! clayton has been good to me. donuts brought to me this morning, chili’s for lunch and a nap yesterday and maybe one today!! not to mention a little shopping spree yesterday! all in all a great day!

He is too precious. I got the same questions about my first Mothers Day. I guess people don’t add so well! Did ya’ll take pics at the church? By the time we left they had put everything up and we just used the self timer and put the camera on top of the car. Turned out pretty good. Enjoy your first Mothers Day in the US.

Yeah, listen to the radio show on 570AM from 1-4pm. Especially listen on Fridays. That is when people get to call in and scream that they’re debt free. Ryan was the one that got me hooked. He also has “live events” where he comes and talks. Ryan has been twice but I have never been. He said that can get you fired up too. I’m going to go enjoy some Mother’s Day ice cream.
