last weekend an ederly woman was shot in the neck unloading her grocery bags from her car. the shooting happened in the parking lot of our apartment complex and possibly while deacon and clayton were home. someone said that the shooter followed the woman from the grocery store to our parking lot.
all i know is that happened on saturday and we turned in our move-out notice on monday.
we’ve been going back and forth about moving anyways. we want to move closer to my job so i don’t have to drive 25 minutes everyday back and forth. also, as our family expands we could use a backyard and an extra room.
the only bummer is that we will have to do a homestudy update and our adoption process could be pushed back a couple of months.
in other news, i think if we get another boy i have decided to name him darius. like king darius from the bible. was it king darius that wanted the tomato and cucumber to bow down to the chocolate bunny in that veggietales episode? i still like the name.
dang. I just told Ben I wanted to name our next boy Darius. But after Darius Rucker, the country singer (formerly known as Hootie of Hootie and the Blowfish). He is my new obsession.

Well then, I’m stealing “Shepherd”! Actually, now that I think about it…Shepherd Savage? not so good- mixing a noun and an adjective. Oh well.
We moved while in the waiting phase- it didn’t effect our wait time at all. Hopefully you’ll find the same thing to be true.
Whatever! Shepherd Savage sounds awesome!!! Our case worker emailed me and said it would NOT effect our wait time which is awesome! that was the biggest thing I was worried about. Woohoo! and this is margo signed in as clayton…oops.
