About

The magic started on May 25, 2002 when Margo and Clayton said, “I do.”

Clayton likes playing guitar, laughing with Margo, and watching movies about music and other deep subjects.

Margo likes reading, shopping, making Clayton laugh, and watching movies that aren’t too deep.

Deacon was added to the mix on May 9, 2007 via Ethiopia. Deacon is fond of playgrounds, super heroes (both marvel and dc), disney films, and eating real oranges (not mandarin).

Masamo joined the group via Ethiopian adoption in March of 2010. He loves eating anything that he can get in his mouth (including vegetables!!), loves Cars, kisses and being Deacon’s little brudder.

The Faulkners moved to Houston, TX in the summer of 2008 after living in Fort Worth, TX for the past 5 years. Clayton is a pastor at Theophilus and Margo is a 4th grade Language Arts teacher in Katy ISD.

Clayton and Margo… and Deacon. :)
Hey you guys. My name is Hannah — I am Tom Davis’ sister in law (Author of Red Letters — Living a Faith that Bleeds. Not me, TOM is the author. : ) Anyhow, Tom just got home from Swaziland. He is still jet-lagging, but he wanted me to send a huge ‘THANK YOU’ on his behalf. He saw that you posted a blog about Red Letters, and he always gets exciting to hear that more and more people are being moved into action for the cause of God’s dear ones — the orphans. These kids are so close to God’s big heart — when we open ourselves to the lives of orphans and widows, we get close in to God’s own heart. That’s the way I see it. : )
Anyhow, I pray that your family is favored and blessed.
    with joy.

    Clayton & Margo,

I found your blog through a very long string of “friends of friends”. We have 2 children, one biological and one adopted. Our adopted son is 4. I didn’t know if you had heard of this group: Families Like Us: http://www.rhchurch.org/index.cfm?pg=event&id=210 –there are families from all over the metroplex that come. If you are interested you can email Jena. We’d love to meet you.

  3. Hi, It’s nice to meet y’all. We’re south of y’all, down near San Marcos

  4. Hey Margo,

Great site! I believe that adoption is the heart of God! I just launched a website I would love for you to check out, http://www.mojuproject.com Every t-shirt you buy feeds an orphan for 1 month! We are partnering with Tom Davis with Children’s HopeChest as well as Feed My Starving Children.

Our passion is to save orphans! The concept is simple… “Buy a Shirt, Save a Life”.

I would love to get your feedback!

    For the One,

    Jessica

    Hey,
I am writing a paper about the connection between spirituality and sexuality. The painting on your page about the song of solomon came up and is perfect for my paper! Who is the painter?

  7. Margo,
Not sure if you remember me, but I graduated with Monica, Ginny, Leslie and Crystal at Clements. Anyway, I came across your blog from FB and just wanted to day congrats on the adoptions! That is an amazing thing to do and have SO much admiration for couple who are able to adopt. Have fun and be careful in Ethiopia.
